2D FoundationsThis course is for any student interested in learning the fundamentals of 2 dimensional art. This course assumes that everyone can and should learn basic artistic skills. Throughout the semester we will progress from the basics to more challenging subject matter and medium. Students will be encouraged to try new tactics while learning problem solving and outside of the box thinking. Materials include graphite, colored pencils, acrylic paint, markers.

3D FoundationsThis course is for any student interested in learning the fundamentals of 3 dimensional art. This course assumes that everyone can and should learn basic artistic skills. Students will be encouraged to try new tactics while learning problem solving and outside of the box thinking. Materials include ceramics, sculpture, fibers, metals and glass.

CeramicsThis course focuses on multiple ceramic processes including hand building and wheel throwing. Students will learn to make a full place setting and hand built forms. Course includes an emphasis on individual/ self-reflection, peer critique, problem solving, goal setting, and revision.

This course is designed for students interested in diving deeper into the realm of 2-D creation. Students will use advanced artistic processes to further develop their skills. Emphasis will be placed on brainstorming and revision. Materials include graphite, chalk, oil pastel, colored pencil, charcoal, acrylic and watercolor paint.
2D Advanced |
For students who have completed 3-D foundations and are interested in furthering their understanding of Three Dimensional medium. Course includes an emphasis on peer revision, brainstorming, and problem solving. Possible materials include ceramics, metal, stained glass, cardboard sculpture and more.
Art Studio I |
Computer art is a course designed for the digital artist. Students will learn the rigorous process of graphic design and photo manipulation by using a variety of techniques from hand drawing to digital painting. This course is taught using iPad pro's and an apple pencil. We will primarily be using the app Procreate.

This course is designed for the student ready to take their 2d art to the next level. Students will learn self critique, revision, brainstorming, and problem solving. Materials include graphite, chalk, oil pastel, colored pencil, charcoal, watercolor, printmaking and acrylic paint.

Art Studio is designed for students ready to take their art to the next level. Artistic processes will challenge students ranging from drawing and painting to ceramics and sculpture. Art Studio 1 will focus on rounding out skills. Theme based challenges will be given for students to have more independant studies.

Art Studio 2 is a continuation of Art Studio 1. Students will focus on creating a personal style while exploring a specific subject or subject matter. Students will ‘finish the course’ with the completion of a portfolio and personal reflection. This course may be repeated for elective credit.

This course is designed for upperclassmen student who maybe have never taken an art course before. There are no prerequisites required. Students will learn traditional crafts and hobbies with a modern twist that they will be able to continue outside the art classroom for years to come. Possible skills may include, knitting, crocheting, shibori dyeing, beading and jewelry making, weaving, sewing, paper making and calligraphy.

This course will develop your skills from ceramics further. You will learn advanced hand building and wheel throwing techniques. Your class will run the same time as the beginning ceramics course, so you will be able to help the intro students on the potters wheel. Your creativity will be stretched as you will be challenged to design your own projects that meet a handful of requirements each.
